|
Some homes call for a much more sophisticated door than the normal slab doors that are sometimes available. Dunbarton makes a selection of Slimfold closet doors for the more sophisticated pallet. Slimfold doors are a trademark of the Dunbarton company. They make many other products but their closet doors are quickly becoming a popular item. They can be used almost anywhere in the home including the pantry, laundry nook, wardrobe, utility closet, linen closet or a large walkin closet. You will not be able to find these doors at your local retailers. One example of an elegant closet door is the Collegiate series. They have a safety fold system that prevents pinching of the fingers or toes when closing the doors. They consist of either two panel units measuring 2’, 2’ 6” and 3’ or four panel units of 4’, 5’ or 6’ lengths. They are available in 6’ 8” heights and have a spring loaded guide for self-alignment. They are available at dunbarton.com where you may request wood samples for a more accurate color pallet. Prices range from $258.40 to $361.65. If you opt for bottomless track brackets, the prices will increase by $7.09. These brackets help keep your doors in a straight line when opening or closing them. Dunbarton is most famous for their mirrored Slimfold closet doors. The Heavy-Duty Steel Bifold Door with Mirror Laminate is available at shop.dunbarton.com with polished chrome mirror edging and handle. It fits openings of 18” to 36” x 80.5”. They can make your rooms appear larger as well as brighten a dark room. They make the perfect doors for a bedroom or anywhere you want to brighten up or make appear larger.
